EAT SLEEP DRINK shrines...
Really- when it comes down too it- this is no longer something I should really be stressed out about- as it IS my job and not something I need to "fit in" when I have time- right? I have to keep telling myself that. Otherwise- I find myself having these sharp stupid anxiety pains- silly me.
So I get up in the mornings, make a pot of coffee (Pumpkin Spice has been making my morning lovely!) and put both kitties under each arm like little suitcases and go out to the studio. They wiggle free and I usually sit there watching them roll around or eat grass or chase a passing leaf. They are so very good about not straying farther than I say. After about 10 minutes I scoop them up and open up the studio. I start by straightening it up a little before I begin. I turn up the heat and turn on the lights. I then check to see it they have food, water and a clean box before I turn my attention to making things.
I have about 4 pieces planned out.
Which is pretty good considering I have not "Made" something like these in a long time. BUT once I got working, it all came back to me. I jumped into the current and just began making. (*sometimes that "Current" is very hard to shut off for me...)
Anyway- I thought you might like to see a few things from yesterday:

I actually "Imagined" this as I was falling off to sleep the other night (*See- hard to turn off)
I wanted to create a brass band around the old clock. So I ran out to the studio in the morning and began to make it! Glad I finally have the time to really "adorn" these shrines with details like this...
They will hold- Dolls Hands as you can see.

Nicely polished up

When it is time- I will form the band tight against the wood so there are no gaps...

Now it is time to get back outside and make more.
I will post more photos of the process later today.
In the mean time- my coffee is waiting!
