I have been feeling so distracted by life- a little too much- last week. I look back and think- WHAT on EARTH DID I ACCOMPLISH!?! Well we are all our worse critics... I know I worked on a lot of things. I always do- (*Maybe that is why I keep blog posts? You know- to slow down time so I know I have something to show for the days which just seem to pass by so fast).
I look ahead to this week and I realize I have a lot of sorting and cleaning ahead of me. Both inside and outside. Today I tackle the office. Work related for sure. I noticed when I was preparing for my taxes that I had a rather large undertaking on my hands. Time to really sort through the paperwork and dare I say- put some of the Xmas crap away! DO NOT JUDGE! I found some things I just forgot to put away!!! Ha! Good thing too- as I had some gifts for birthday's to wrap and that paper, ribbons and tape came in handy! HA! Take that March Gifts! I can stretch Holiday paper farther than most I suspect? It is a talent really. I must resit putting that on my Resume!
Anyway- where was I? Oh yes- Monday morning...
Before I climb those steps to go up to the office to work- I wanted to share with you some things I found this weekend when I was out hunting at thrift stores and markets!

This is a VERY SMALL suitcase I managed to find on a shelf for only $4.20! I kept blinking and thinking- Is this a Joke? It is too amazing...

My silly little Bride and Groom!!!

And these few wonderful things came from my friend Ed.
Ed is in his mid-eighties. He can't really hear well and never keeps
normal hours, but he has charm!
This indoor flea market is open Friday-Sunday's however I
have not seen him since the fall.
Today, out of a spur of the moment decision and because thrift finding
was on my mind- I went. It was late and as I turned the corner I didn't
expect to see him...
But then I saw the gate open... and people browsing and Ed! Sweet
loving wonderful Ed who collected so many dirt covered and oh-so worn
tools...
These are all the things I managed to scavenge today. He insisted that I take one more pass around before I was finished.
I took down my hair and shoot it out- smiled at him and continued to look...
When I was finished I was a little afraid that I spent too much-
(Overheard him tell some gentleman that the tool which was similar to
one which I had just picked up was $25...eeek!)
So when he said to me- "How about $40 for everything?"- I almost broke into tears!
I grabbed his hand and shook it- and kissed it and told him how
grateful I was to see him again and for all of these amazing things...
Did I mention I loved Ed?
You can see more things I Find on a new
Flickr Group I created for FOUND OBJECTS called
THE THRILL OF THE THRIFT! (*I was inspired by my friend Jon who has a tremendous knack for hunting. I swoon over the things he finds and -Oh My Goodness- the way he writes about them!!! Talk about inspiration! HA! I hope to apprentice with him this summer on some of his expeditions! If he lets me... Haa!) Anyhoo- go peek and DO join in if you happen to find an object which Whispers sweet nothings to you!
Okay- time for more coffee and to get this day underway.
More to come...
