When I was away this past week at Valley Ridge- I was inspired in SO MANY WAYS that I am only now beginning to process all of it!
From the Delicious food which was prepared for me (OH MY THE GOAT CHEESE AND FRESH CUT APPLES Kathy gave me for lunch), Tomato soup from Trader Joe's, Pies and Ice Cream! HA!
The Art work which was made- great supply suggestions... the list seems to go on for me!
However- you know how you hear or read a post or get an email from one place- and you know it was a thought or idea from somewhere else- that is similar- then the next thing you know it CLICKS!!! Well tonight I get an email about this kitty named GRACIE:
"Hi everyone,
A colleague of mine recently lost her home and is in trying to find a new one - in the meantime, she can no longer keep her cat. It's a sweet cat - a four-year-old female named Gracie. If you or anyone you know would be interested in taking her (either temporarily or permanently - the option is up to you) please let me know ASAP. Gracie is up-to-date on all of her shots and has current vet records. I've also attached some pictures.
This colleague is an elderly woman who is working at my organization through a service agency for seniors. Needless to say, she doesn't make a huge salary and can't stand to part with Gracie, but she feels like she doesn't have a choice. So, I told her I'd ask around. Otherwise, Gracie ends up at the SPCA and will most likely be put down. So do what you can - even if that means forwarding this email to someone who might be interested.
Time is of the essence, so let me know as soon as you can.
Thanks,
-Christy"

I Know that Miss Gracie will find a home- My Fingers and TOES are crossed... I suggested that she also consider a No Kill Shelter like the one where I have gotten My Furry Kitties! Mr. Virgil and Mr. Vespa, Miss Perth (Rest her little soul) and my Dad's most recent twins- Miss Olivia and Mr. Oliver!!!
Defender of Animal Rights in Hunt Valley Area is an AMAZING place! I can NOT speak high enough of their hard work and amazing organization!
But it got me to thinking- In the Work Shop at Valley Ridge- one of my fellow Ladies (If you are reading PLEASE remind me of who you are!) mentioned helping her local shelter by cutting coupons!!! WHAT a BRILLIANT Idea!
Well- between getting this Email tonight from Christy and Valley Ridge- Everything clicked!
When I was looking on the website for Defenders of Animal Rights- I clicked over to the page which gave Suggestions for Donations!
I know Money is a great gift and I have given to them before- however- THESE other ideas of items they need- are Simply Brilliant- and OH SO EASY for someone like me to collect and give...
SO do look into your local Shelter and do consider helping a little- ESPECIALLY during these tough economic times!
IT IS EASY and it FEELS SO GOOD TO HELP!
*thank you for reading and I do hope I have inspired!
HERE'S to GRACIE! Meow!!!
